Nontraditional Drug-free Model of Successful Recovery
Narconon
Vancouver, BC Drug / The Narconon drug and alcohol treatment program has NO WAITING LIST. The Narconon drug and alcohol treatment program is a social educational model of rehabilitation which does not use drugs or medications to solve the problems of addiction. Narconon staff creates individualized programs to address each individual’s situation and their drug or alcohol addiction. It is neither Medical or Psychiatric. Narconon uses nutrition and nutritional supplements to assist in rebuilding the physical and mental health of the individual. No drugs are used on the treatment program. Narconon’s treatment program is supervised by a medical doctor and all people starting the program are given a full medical physical and permission from a doctor to start the program. Narconon enrollees are considered to be students not ‘patients’. They are learning to regain control of their lives. Students are not thought of as having an illness. Narconon Students address the disability caused by drug use with new abilities and new skills for life. Students aren’t required to go to weekly meetings after completing the program or refer to themselves as recovering. The
